This is an elegant necklace that can be worn in three different ways. Because of the length it can be doubled up and worn with one strand longer and the other acting as a choker, or  a two-strand necklace of the same length by using a bail and charm, or as a bracelet by wrapping it around your wrist. It is light and fun, but it will dress up a variety of occasions, from daytime work to date night. It can also be combined with other charms you already own. The large sterling silver pendant is included and  can be engraved with a personal message on the backside in any font you desire.

Most experts believe they are naturally created by rain washed silica into the cracks and canyons to form opals. Opal is a soft stone, ranging from 5 to 6.5 on Moh’s Scale, and is easily chipped or scratched. Opals, October birthstones, are considered good luck stones that protect from evil spirits. They are said to have the ability to quiet thoughts, manifest visions, and connect with the spiritual world.

Care and Cleaning:

Opals are soft gemstones with a Moh’s hardness of 5 to 6.5 and are easily chipped or scratched, so keep them away from other parts and other jewelry stones. 

Clean gently with soapy water and a soft bristle makeup brush or toothbrush. After cleaning, make sure to dry the stone naturally and do not leave it wet as it may discolor and change its appearance. Because opal is sensitive to heat, do not use a hair dryer. Avoid steam cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning.

Opals are stones that contain abundant moisture, so an extreme exposure to direct sunlight may cause the moisture inside to evaporate, resulting in the loss of their beautiful light color, discoloration, or even cracking. 

Due to its softness, this stone is sensitive to perfumes, so it’s best to put spray type perfume on before adorning.

Please use a soft silver polish cloth for the chain portion of the necklace, careful not to tug on the components.
